Great players in 07,horrible turnout in 08.

Here is list of players the preformed great last year (07),and this year played horrible. (08)

Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck
Veteran QB Matt Hasselbeck,lead the Seahawks to the NFC Divisonal games last year against Retired QB Brett Favre. Matt,had 3966 yards and 28 touchdowns in the 07' season (TDS/yards most in his career) This year,he missed most of his games. The worst game Hasselbeck played this season was the week 13 loss to Dallas,34-9. That game was Hasselbecks most yardage game is the 08 season. Week 13's game was a hard game for Hasslbeck,and there offense.
QB Hasslbeck,was sacked 7 times by the Dallas defense (most was by bradie james,2 sacks.)
Hasslbeck had no touchdowns.

Seattle Seahawks RB T.J. Duckett

T.J had 8 touchdowns,but lower yards than J.Jones
T.J was the best RB to score the most TD's.

Seattle Seahawks DE,
Patrick Kerney

Patrick Kerney was a outstanding DE in the 2007 season! He had the 2nd most sacks in the 08 season. He got injured in the 08 season,which made him not as outstanding.

Former,Jet and Former Packer-Retired QB Brett Favre

Favre played with the NFL for 18 seasons,he was a Packer for most his life. He was a Falcon in 1991,1992-2007 he was a Packer. What made him not a Packer? He retired in 07,then he decided to come back. The packers did not accept him,but the Jets did. At week 17, Chad Pennington (former jet,now dolphin) played agianst his former team the Jets. Brett Favre had a hard time,throwing 3 interceptions. At the 4th QTR of the Week 17 game,the Dolphins ran the clock to 28 seconds,and put the Jets at there own 1. The Jets attempted laterals,but the failed with the fumble to N.Jones

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady

Brady was injured in week 1,played agianst the Chiefs. Cassel was re-placement,and Cassel almost brung them to the playoffs,but they were short. Brady lead the Patriots to a 16-0 regular season. They fell short of the super bowl game. (lost to the giants.)

http://static.nfl.com/static/site/img/teams/GB/GB_logo-80x90.gif The packers ended this season with a win,to the Lions [who ended there season winless] there record was 6-10 (08),and 13-3 (07)

The Super Play off the first half!

They call it the super bowl;they expect super plays

BEFORE the half ended,the Cardnials were in red zone ready to take the lead,but when Kurt Warner passed it to a Cardnial [N/A for name] and then was intercepted by 92-James Harrison! He ran down,their was a flag at 9 yrd line [personal foul,face mask] then Harrison took it ALL the way down for 100 yards,for a TD! They reviewed the play since it looked like he was down at the 1 or so,but TD or no TD it would still be amazing. If it was not a TD,they could not have another play and it would be halftime. But it was a TD!

The Super MVP

Stay tuned for the Super MVP...

One of the players from each team will be named,the Super MVP.

After the game,stay in tune for the MVP.

Historcal Games with the Steelers and Cardnials

Week 4 of 2007 Cardnials win 24-14
Week 10 of 2003,Steelers win 28-15
Week 14 of 1997,Steelers win 26-20

The last time the Cardnials went to the playoffs was in 1998!
In all three of their games,the most receving and rushing yards were all by the Cardnials. Kurt Warner had the most yards up until the Championship game.

Steelers.Ravens.43

Image by the NFL

Holmes scored the only offensive TD for the steelers.

The Steelers defense had a nice day with 3 sacks,3 interceptions and a forced fumble while the Ravens defense had 4 sacks and a forced fumble today.

With a rookie head coach for each team,will that affect the teams?
Can Kurt Warner a 11 year player in the NFL beat the 5 year Big Ben?

Last year the Steelers finished the season 10-6 and moved in to the Wild card game with a loss to the Jaguars.

Meanwhile the Cardnials finished last year 8-8 while the Seahawks were the only West NFC team to go to the playoffs

SUPER BOWL 43 - NFL GAMECENTER

pitt.bal game

who can win? who will go to the super bowl?

pitt is ranked #22 offense overall in the regular season.
bal is ranked #18 offense overall in the regular season.
bal = 1 , pitt = 0

pitt is ranked #17 in passing yards in the regular season.
bal is ranked #28 in passing yards in the regular season.

bal = 1 , pitt = 1

bal is ranked #4 in rushing in the regular season
pitt is ranked #23 rushing in the regular season

bal = 2 , pitt = 1

defense overall for pitt is #1
defense overall for bal is #2

bal = 2 , pit = 2

Big Ben's QB rating is 80.1
Rookie QB Joe Flacco is 80.3

bal = 3 , pit = 2

Flacco has 12 INT in the season.
Big Ben has 15 INT in the season.

bal = 4 , pit = 2

i honestly still pick pitt to win because flacco is a rookie qb,and the #22 offense could hold on to the nfl's #2 defense.

2009 BCS Championship Game

Overall Offense

Cardnials 4
Eagles 9

Cardnials 2

I am picking the Cardnials to upset the Eagles in the NFC championship game.

Turnover Party!

From all the turnovers,they Cardnials earned 23 points!
The Panthers could of scored 3 times in those six turnovers.

[Picture by the NFL. If you need me to remove this and you are from the NFL,contact me]
Joe Flacco is the First Rookie QB to enter the championship game with winning two playoff games.

HOW DID THE TITANS LOSE?
Even though the Titans had more yards and had the ball longer,they also had more penalties and more turnovers.
RAVENS DEFENSE
The Ravens defense have caused 2+ turnovers in their last 5 games.
RAVENS OFFENSE
497 yards on offense for the playoffs with Joe Flacco
FLACCO?
Flacco started the preseason with 3 misses,and -6 yards vs NE
In Flacco's last 4 winning straight games,he has 742 yards and seven sacks,2TDS and 0 INT.
COMPARE!
Compare that to Kerry Collins, Kerry Collins lost the last 2 games and got 727 yards in his last 4 winning games with 3sacks,3TD and 3INT

Panthers or Card's?

Panthers #18 ranked defense
Cardnials #19 ranked defense

Cardnials #4 ranked offense
Panthers #10 ranked offense

Cardnials are #2 in passing [offense]
Panthers are #19 in passing [offense]

Panthers are #3 ranked in rushing
Cardnials are Ranked #3 in rushing.

Panthers win 2
Cardnials win 2.

This is hard, but since Cardnials are only 1 rank behind in defense,and they are 6 ranks infront of the panthers in offense,and 17 ranks away from passing i think the Card's will win.

layout,etc

i have moved things around
and planning on adding a logo for the blog

divisonal playoff matchup

NFC
ARZ or MIN at CAR
ARZ or PHI at NYG
AFC
BAL at TEN+
SD at PIT$$+

For BAL vs. TEN game i am picked TEN over the second ranked defense in the NFL because even though their second,doesnt mean their going to win. They need a good offense to win also and thats why im picking the titans.
